ABOUT THE BRAND: Soretti is a gelateria built around the pleasure of doing things the Italian way: slowly, beautifully and with a little indulgence.

THE CHALLENGE

When Soretti’s owners came to me, they had the business idea, the location and the ambition but no clear idea of where to start.

They had initially approached an interior designer to shape the space, but it quickly became clear that the brand needed to come first. Before choosing the interiors, materials and finishes, we needed to establish the visual language of the business, starting with the colours, personality and overall direction.

And the location made that even more important.

Situated on one of Oradea’s busiest central streets, surrounded by gelaterias, restaurants, pubs and bars, Soretti needed to do more than look good. It needed to be noticed.

The solution was a visual identity built around an unexpected combination of warm orange, olive green and a soft, elegant neutral. Orange brought the warmth, energy and playfulness of sunshine, summer, gelato and prosecco. Olive green introduced a subtle Mediterranean influence, connecting the brand back to its Italian roots without becoming the obvious “green gelateria.” The light neutral gave the palette room to breathe and kept the overall identity feeling refined.

Green exists throughout the city, but this particular combination didn't. And that was the point.

Soretti needed to feel unmistakably different from everything around it, while still feeling like somewhere you would want to walk into, stay a little longer, have a gelato, and maybe a glass of prosecco.

The result was a brand that doesn't simply fit into its surroundings. It stands out from them.
